Violence against women and children is a violation of human rights, the very nature of which deprives victims of their ability to enjoy fundamental freedoms. A depth informs our programs and services of understanding of violence in society.

The Women and Children’s Support program works with domestic violence victims to improve the quality of their life. The program respects self-determination & fosters independence. Services and support enable women to make more informed decisions and access the services they need.

Multi-service locations give participants anonymity and access to various programs such as ESL, employment counselling, adult literacy, settlement services, children’s programs etc.

Services include:

• Individual supportive counselling for women and children
• Safety planning
• Support groups
• Goal setting and transitional plans
