The Home Alone Safety Course is designed to provide children ten years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when Home alone for short periods. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied. The program focuses on small group discussions, problem-solving, role-playing, and instructor-led demonstrations. Topics include: establishing a routine, house Key is your responsibility, strangers, telephone, emergencies, basic first aid and internet safety. We have classes in Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga & Vaughan.

Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Our cancellation policy is listed below:
7 days before training – 100% refund
4 days before training – 50% refund
2 days before training – 0% refund (date exchange available)
less than two days before training – NO REFUND or EXCHANGE.
What does the virtual course mean?
Due to COVID-19, this course will run virtually online for three classes. After registration, you will receive the link to join the online course.
Is there a minimum number of student to run a class
Yes, if we do not meet the minimum requirement, you will get a full refund, and we will inform you no less than 48 hrs before the commencement of the class.
What is the minimum age for Home alone safety course?
There are no legal ages for staying Home Alone in Ontario.
While there is no defined age, in Ontario, Children’s Aid Societies recommend that children under ten not be left home alone. Age is just a guideline; not all ten-year-olds are sufficiently responsible and mature to stay on their own, even in a safe and well-stocked environment. The judgment call is left for parents as they know their child’s abilities best. Children need to be trained with beneficial safety information to help them make wise decisions, prevent injuries and deal with an emergency or an unexpected situation if required.
Will, my child, receive a certificate after
Yes, each child gets a certificate and a manual. The replacement cost is $10. Please take a photo of your child’s certificate in case they misplace it.
